On the evidence of the beta version we received, The Conquerors sticks firmly to that tried and trusted formula. And, unlike some young RTS upstarts I could mention, it still has a healthy dose of resource management, which, believe it or not, some players still enjoy. It might only sport a tired old three-quarter isometric view, but then again you don't have to readapt your old flight-sim keyboard claw just so you can move the game camera and give orders at the same time. But let's face it, that's what gives this series its appeal. Not only does it look just like all the other dogs in the neighbourhood (no fancy 3D shenanigans from this beast), it's also somewhat predictable, and the last thing you'd expect it to do is learn any new tricks. You've enjoyed its company for a few years now and you've grown comfortable with it. The Age Of Empires series is becoming something of a trusty old dog. This isn't just author bias: The Old Gods is the gateway DLC that makes just about all of the other major CK2 DLC packs that aren't about the monotheistic religions work. With that in mind, we'll go ahead and rank all 15 DLC releases from “if you don't have this DLC, you're missing out on the true value of the whole game” to “don't bother”. And while the answer to this is “depends on your playstyle”, there are nonetheless certain DLC packs that add so many great features to the game that it doesn't matter if you're playing as a Norse pagan in Sweden or a Brahmin in India, you're still going to love what the DLC has to offer. This is also the only issue I have run into with a Razer product and from reading other peoples similar problems the general consensus is it probably won't be fixable Razer support is terrible, bin it and get something better. This literally all worked 2 days ago perfectly fine. I even tried legacy drivers which also can't detect my Deathadder. I have tried different USB ports 2.0 and 3.0. I have reinstalled Synapse a couple of times even did one install were I wiped all USB drivers. I have even seen a popup saying "Deathadder Chroma detected” which is kind of odd but yet Synapse still couldn't detect it. Now for some reason Synapse will not recognize my Deathadder even though it’s functioning as it should. So a couple of days ago my Razer Deathstalker was damaged and now certain keys don't function was a bad idea on my part to drink and game but never the less lesson learned. Simply put, running games at a higher framerate allows for more animation detail, reduces input lag, and generally allows for a better gaming experience. Next-gen consoles like Xbox Series X|S and the PS5 begin to unravel these precedents by officially ushering in hardware support for up to 120 FPS in select games. Gaming on a console can be an excellent way to experience the broad world of video games, but consoles have historically lagged far behind powerful gaming PCs for sheer power. |
